This week, baobab was mentioned on the Inteligencia Artificial Semanal podcast, hosted by Gargoyles Devon, one of the most influential voices in the tech scene across the Iberian Peninsula.

The mention came after a direct conversation between Gargoyles and members of the baobab team, where they exchanged insights on the role of artificial intelligence in solving real business problems. During the episode, the host highlighted baobab’s technical and rigorous approach, as well as its experience well before the current boom in generative AI:

“They’re not just four guys in a garage playing around for six months… This is a company with a solid track record, using AI,but more broadly, mathematical analysis tools, to solve real problems.”

Gargoyles also appreciated that baobab doesn’t rely on a single technology or approach, but instead uses AI as one tool within a broader toolbox that includes operations research, optimization, and simulation, depending on what each case requires.

“I liked that they have a much broader approach […]  They seek the best solution for each problem.”

Beyond highlighting some practical cases discussed off-air, the episode addressed ongoing debates in the sector: what counts as AI, how it relates to machine learning, and how dominant narratives shape perceptions of the real value of solutions.
