Baobab employees Guillermo González-Santander de la Cruz and Luis Pita-Romero Rodríguez have been participating this week in the Smartlogistic@IB conference, each delivering talks on interesting logistics problems.
The Smartlogistics@IB network (funded by CYTED) brings together European and Latin American researchers around the topic of logistics and the real-world challenges faced in this field.
In particular, its participants work on developing models for these problems and efficient solutions to address them. It is an interesting forum because it showcases cutting-edge work and fosters collaboration among its members to solve an increasing number of problems with better results.
Like the rest of our interactions with the research community, our participation in this network is highly beneficial for Baobab. Tolga Bektas (University of Liverpool) has been involved in this network, which has facilitated our current collaboration with him. Carlos Méndez (Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Argentina) will advise us on a problem in the near future. Ángel Juan (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya) has inspired some of the approaches we have adopted in solving some of our problems.
Congratulations to Guillermo and Luis on their work!
